List of AFF Championship hat-tricks
This is a list of all hat-tricks scored during ASEAN Football Federation Championship; that is, the occasions when a footballer has scored three or more goals in a single football AFF Championship match. Scoring a hat-trick in a AFF Championship is a relatively rare event: only 15 hat-tricks have been scored in 197 matches in the 10 editions of the AFF Championship tournament.
The first hat-trick was scored by Sanbagamaran Kalasigaram of Malaysia playing against the Philippines in the 1996 AFF Championship; the most recent (as of 2014) was by Teerasil Dangda of Thailand, scoring three times against Myanmar in the 2012 AFF Championship.
Indonesian Bambang Pamungkas became the first player to get two hat-trick in a single competition and the first player to score four goals in a single match, his teammate Zaenal Arief also scored 4 goals in that very same match beating the Philippines 13-1. Vietnam Phan Thanh Bình and Singapore Noh Alam Shah are the other two players that have scored more than three goals.
Noh Alam Shah of Singapore made history by scoring seven goals in a single match against Laos thus making him the first player to get a double hat-trick in a single match in the tournament. He also became the first player to get a hat-trick in two consecutive tournament. The fastest hat-trick was scored by Sarayuth Chaikamdee of Thailand at 63', 65' and 67'.
